The 2020 College Swimming Carnival was held on Wednesday 12th February at St Albans Leisure Centre.
Although some drizzle threatened early on, the day cleared to warm conditions which were enjoyed by the students who attended.
As well as the traditional swimming program, we ran some modified and novelty events, such as the 25m Noodle Race, and the Ball Scramble in the toddlers pool, so all students could participate in the carnival regardless of their swimming ability.
In a closely contested competition, H & K Team held on for the victory.
Final results were
1st place- H & K Team 638 points
2nd place- D & T Team 554 points
3rd place- E & B Team 389 points
4th place- L & C Team 308 points
9 new records were set on the day, which is exciting news for our interschool team, who will compete at the Keilor Division Championships on Friday 13th March.
Students will be contacted by Ms Brookshaw and Mr Atherton if they have qualified to represent the College.
Thanks to all students and staff who helped make the 2020 Copperfield College Swimming Carnival a success.
