About Copperfield College
Copperfield College is a multi-campus school with 2 junior campuses (Y7-10) in Kings Park and Sydenham and a Senior Campus (Y11-12) in Delahey. Our operational motto ‘One family, three homes’ ensures that students passing through either junior campus receive the same educational experience with high expectations and support in preparation for their time at our Senior Campus. Our teaching and support staff understand that the transition to a new school can be challenging.
A sensitive transition program and the support of a Home Group Teacher enable our students to quickly develop a sense of belonging and to forge positive relationships with staff and each other. At each Year 7–10 campus there is a strong focus on teams. Each team has its own teaching area within the campus with designated homerooms. Students progress through the school with the same team of teachers who grow to know and understand their students and are able to personalise their learning. The team structure is continued at our Senior Campus. The teams support communication between parents/carers and the school and engage students and families as partners in learning. Our new students thrive in this positive and supportive environment.
Copperfield College enjoys purposely-built learning environments and highly resourced facilities at each of its three campuses. Within landscaped grounds, there are spacious classrooms, well-stocked libraries, modern canteens, large gymnasiums and sophisticated Information Technology resources, specialist areas for Arts, Sciences, Technologies, Drama and Music, as well as ample active and passive recreational areas.
Strong pastoral care, student support and community partnerships play an important role in guiding students to grow as responsible individuals, capable of positively relating to fellow students, teachers, friends and the community. The College has a strong sense of identity and collegiate pride. We are proud of our students’ academic achievements and their contributions in the broader community. This is evident in our strong reward and recognition process.
At Copperfield College, we engage students and parents/carers as partners in learning, to empower every student to aspire and achieve.
